On two occasions Jesus taught us to pray this one particular prayer (Matthew 6 and Luke 11.) J.I. Packer suggests that every prayer of every Christian should in one way or another be a praying of the Lord’s prayer. Throughout Lent let’s pray this daily prayer and as we encounter the situations, the challenges, the people of our daily lives how about asking “what part of the Lord’s prayer is this about?” Is it about “Your Kingdom come”? Is it about “Give us today the food we need?” or.. ? And go ahead and post a comment about how this question helps you become better oriented to welcoming God’s Kingdom, His future into our present.
