As I’m sure you know there has been some opening of gatherings in Ontario which would allow us to meet at 200 Main with 30% capacity attending. For many of us this is something like the light at the end of the tunnel – we have really missed being together! But though this is a good step in the right direction we still need to exercise caution while the virus is still active. So our decision (along with many other churches) is to hold off opening until we are more definitely “in the clear.”
Perhaps we will tentatively set our sights on August 2nd as a soft re-opening Main target and really hope to be in full swing by September 6th for the Labour Day Weekend.
We are planning to continue our online platform through June and July and arrange some smaller meetings in the meantime. We will keep you in the loop about plans and look forward perhaps to a trial Hangout time or two at 200 Main for groups of well less than 50 with appropriate measures in place to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
If there are significant shifts in the numbers of infection and as we continue to take the wise counsel of the Province and Ministry of Health we will adjust accordingly.
Thank you so much for your patience and support during these times! I hope that you are enjoying the opportunity to identify your social circles of 10 and getting and giving the hugs that you’ve missed 🙂
